When I made the decision to go full time I knew I would have to increase production and find new markets in order to justify my decision and very handily something dropped into my lap.
John the landlord from The Globe Inn on Military Road approached me a few weeks ago and asked me if I'd be interested in having a stall at a new farmers market he was setting up outside the Globe running every Saturday morning and starting on Easter Saturday, which just happened to be the second day of my new life! Well, how could I say no? So of course I said yes and this has been going very well, selling out most weeks. So big thanks to John and to everyone who has come down and bought bread Saturday mornings.
Now those of you who can count will immediately see that I appear to have a 3 day weekend which hardly counts as full time. However, in my defence I should point out that my average getting up time Wednesday to Saturday is 4AM so I'll take that 3 day weekend than you very much!
So currently Lazy Bakery bread is available Wednesday at Rye Farmer's Market, Friday for order and collection from The Big Blue Bread Bin and Saturday at The Globe Farmer's Market.
Thursday's are usually spent test baking and prepping for Fridays but if anyone has any bread requirements on a Thursday or an idea for a new outlet please do shout and we'll see what can be done!
So in conclusion; I'm loving my new life sans commute, baking more than ever and expanding The Lazy Bakery empire!
